DEVELOPMENTAL TRAUMA & PSYCHOSIS NETWORK

Learn more about the network, our aims, events, and how to join.

ABOUT

Traumatic experiences in childhood are estimated to cause approximately a third of cases of psychosis in adulthood. Despite our advances in psychiatry, there exists a paucity of research on psychosis experienced by adult survivors of developmental trauma.

Convened by Dr. Michael Bloomfield, the Developmental Trauma and Psychosis Network is a cross-institutional collaborative bringing together researchers, clinicians, and professionals across the globe. It was launched recognising the need for multiple areas of expertise in this area of psychiatry, ultimately aiming to further research and clinical practice in the field.
